Anal Fissure

An anal fissure is a crack or tear in the lining of your anal canal. It’s a common cause of anal pain and rectal bleeding, especially during bowel movements (pooping).

Anal Hematoma

A perianal hematoma is a collection of blood that has leaked from a burst blood vessel in the area around the anus. As well as being uncomfortable, the appearance of a painful, bruised-looking bump near the anus can cause alarm.

Anal Warts

Anal warts (condyloma) are warts in and around your anus. Theyre caused by human papilloma virus (HPV), which is spread through sexual or skin-to-skin contact. Symptoms include itching, bleeding or feeling a lump in your anus.

Constipation

Constipation is a problem with passing stool. Constipation generally means passing fewer than three stools a week or having a difficult time passing stool.

Fistula in Ano

An anal fistula is usually a side effect of an anal abscess, an infected wound that drains pus from your anus. The draining abscess can create a tunnel through your anus to the skin outside. Anal pain, swelling and redness are the primary symptoms. Surgery is the primary treatment.

IBS & IBD

IBS affects the lower GI area, which includes the small intestine, large intestine, and colon. Patients with IBS experience chronic diarrhea, constipation, and in some cases both. BD causes inflammation of the intestines. IBD is a term for a broad spectrum of diseases, but Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are the most common.

Intestinal Warms

If you have intestinal parasites, you may have digestive symptoms, including abdominal pain and diarrhea. Untreated, worms may cause complications. Intestinal worms, also known as parasitic worms, are one of the main types of intestinal parasites in humans.

Perianal Abscess

A perineal abscess is a painful, pus-filled bump near your anus or rectum. It happens when one of your anal glands gets clogged and infected. Certain medical conditions or other factors may increase your risk of perineal abscesses. Your healthcare provider can drain a perineal abscess.

Hemorrhoids (Piles)

Hemorrhoids (HEM-uh-roids), also called piles, are swollen veins in the anus and lower rectum. Hemorrhoids are similar to varicose veins. Hemorrhoids can develop inside the rectum, called internal hemorrhoids. They also can develop under the skin around the anus, called external hemorrhoids.

Pilonidal Sinus

A pilonidal sinus is a small hole or tunnel in the skin that can easily become infected. It typically forms in the cleft at the top of the buttocks. When a pilonidal sinus becomes infected it can turn into an abscess or cyst. A pilonidal cyst usually contains hair, dirt, and debris. It can cause severe pain and may ooze pus and blood and have a strong odor.

Itchy Skin (Pruritis)

Itchy skin is an irritating sensation that makes you want to scratch. It's also called pruritus (proo-RIE-tus). Itchy skin is often caused by dry skin and is common in older adults, as skin tends to become drier with age. Depending on the cause of your itchiness, your skin may look no different than usual or it may be inflamed, rough or have bumps.

Rectal Polyp

A polyp is a small growth of excess tissue that often grows on the lining of the large intestine, also known as the colon. Colon and rectal polyps occur in about 25 percent of men and women ages 45 and older. Not all polyps will turn into cancer, and it may take many years for a polyp to become cancerous

Diode Laser

There is not a unique diode laser. The term diode laser defines a group of lasers using a semiconductor bar to generate laser radiation.

By using different semiconductor elements and layer structures, the generation of various wavelengths is possible, thus providing laser systems emitting at 940, 980, 1318, and 1470 nm. The target chromophore differs depending on wavelength. Compared with the GreenLight LBO laser, different diode laser systems showed comparable or superior tissue ablation rates and lower bleeding rates.

Ksharasutra

In Ayurveda, Bhagandara is considered as one of the grave disease by Sushruta due to more recurrence rate.

Ksharasutra is para-surgical procedure which is found more effective in the management of fistula-in-ano. Ksharasutra is routinely prepared with Snuhi Ksheera (latex), Haridra powder and Apamarga Kshara. In conventional method collection of Snuhi latex is time consuming and laborious

Vessel Sealer

Electrothermal bipolar vessel sealing (EBVS) devices have revolutionised both open and minimally invasive surgeries (MIS)

by providing an effective alternative to sutures withtheir efficient and precise haemostatic sealing. Utilising an optimised combination of pressure and radiofrequency, vessel sealers generate targeted energy tailored to the tissue impedance and can efficiently seal blood vessels up to 7 mm in diameter with a thermal injury confined to 2 mm over the surgical site.

Cautery Machine

An instrument used to destroy tissue for medical reasons (eg to stop bleeding or remove a wart) by burning it or by freezing it.

Electrocauterization (or electrocautery) is often used during surgery to remove unwanted or harmful tissue. It can also be used to burn and thus seal blood vessels. This helps reduce or stop bleeding during surgery or after an injury. It is a safe procedure.

RBL -(Rubber band ligation)

Haemorrhoidal rubber band ligation (RBL) is a well-established, safe and cost-effective treatment for bleeding haemorrhoids.

It is generally well tolerated; however, some patients may require narcotic analgesia or even admission to hospital for pain management. This comparative cohort study reports on the difference in peri-procedural analgesia administration and post-operative recovery time between patients who received local anaesthetic (LA) infiltration in addition to RBL, compared with patients treated only with RBL.
